what is the barcode issue going on ? so much confusion regarding that on twitter , saying they are putting yixing's album sale count into CBX ?? please clear this as i see so many people talking about it
Ack, ok I didn’t really want to address this because… there was quite a lot of confusion involved, but this is my understanding of the situation.
Earlier in the day, a number of k-fans posted receipts of them having pre-ordered “Lose Control” at Hottracks stores but “CBX- Hey Mama” was listed on their purchase receipts. And the shopkeepers had just written Lay on the receipts to indicate that this was for “Lose Control”.
So a lot of Xingmis panicked, worried that the “Lose Control”
pre-orders that were done this way would go towards the CBX’s album
sales count. Because on the system this would meant that the “Lose
Control” order was listed as a CBX sale.
This is the latest clarification that has been made by a fan. Which is what I’ve corroborated with a fan who understands Korean. Essentially SM has not prepared and released a barcode/system in place for the pre-order of “Lose Control” in stores, so stores have had to use a “CBX” barcode/system instead for the sales. But these pre-orders, upon collection of the album, will count towards “Lose Control” sales and not be confused with “CBX”.
I don’t understand Korean so this is what I’ve gleaned from talking to someone who does, and from posts on weibo. Hope this helps clear things up anyway!
